UBORA'S WORK IN THE SIHA DISTRICT OF TANZANIA IS BROUGHT TO LIFE THROUGH UBORA'S FIVE IMPACT PROGRAMS AND OUR IN-COUNTRY ORGANIZATION, SHELTER OF HOPE AND EXCELLENCE FOUNDATION (SHEFO). 1. SPONSORSHIP/UBORA PROJECT CHILD - PROJECT CHILD MATCHES A SPONSOR WITH A CHILD AT SIHA LEADERSHIP PRE AND PRIMARY SCHOOL, AND CONTINUES THROUGH GRADUATION FROM SELECT SECONDARY SCHOOLS.2. EDUCATION - UBORA PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH ITS OPERATION OF THE SIHA LEADERSHIP PRE AND PRIMARY SCHOOL IN ADDITION TO EXTERNAL TRAINING AND MENTORING OF PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS. 3. HEALTH - UBORA PROVIDES BASIC HEALTHCARE TRAINING IN ADDITION TO BUILDING NEEDED HEALTHCARE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE SIHA DISTRICT OF TANZANIA. 4. BUSINESS - UBORA PROVIDES PRACTICAL TRAINING SEMINARS FOR BUSINESS OWNERS, COACHING AND MENTORING FOR RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES, EXPERT RESOURCES FOR AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS, AND IDEAS AND CAPITAL TO START NEW BUSINESSES THAT CAN SCALE. 5. COMMUNITY - THE COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAM PROVIDES CREATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR ISSUES THAT HAVE NEGATIVELY IMPACTED THE LOCAL COMMUNITY SUCH AS ILLITERACY, FLOODING AND DROUGHT, MINIMAL ACCESS TO BIBLICAL TEACHING, AND HARMFUL TRIBAL CUSTOMS.
