TO PROVIDE A SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES HOPE, HEALTH AND HEALING TO TRAUMATIZED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

THE DAKOTA CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER (DCAC) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1997 AS A RESPONSE TO CHILD ABUSE ACROSS THE STATE IN ND. WE WERE THE FIRST CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER IN THE STATE AND WAS ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE IN 1998. OVER THE PAST 25 YEARS, THE DCAC HAS GROWN TO BE A LEADER IN THE FIELD FOR CHILD ABUSE AND TRAUMA INTERVENTION. CURRENTLY THE DCAC SERVES NEARLY 1000 PEOPLE EACH YEAR FROM APPROXIMATELY 53% OF THE STATE. THE MISSION OF THE DCAC IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES HOPE, HEALTH, AND HEALING TO TRAUMATIZED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN 2017 WE BECAME AN INDEPENDENT 501C3 ORGANIZATION. IN 2020 WE OPENED A SECOND LOCATION IN DICKINSON ND WITH OUTREACH SERVICES TO MCKENZIE COUNTY (2022), AND STANDING ROCK RESERVATION (2022) TO INCREASE ACCESS TO SERVICES FOR KIDS ACROSS THE STATE. IN 2021 WE PROVIDED 9689 SERVICES TO 940 PEOPLE, SERVING VICTIMS FROM 53% OF THE COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA. THAT IS A 26% INCREASE FROM 2020. ALL OF OUR SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE TO FAMILIES.
