HE INTENT OF THE ORGANIZATION HAS REMAINED THE SAME: TO DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF SUCCESSFUL LEADERS BY TEACHING THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, SELF-EMPOWERMENT AND ECONOMIC AWARENESS. FUELED BY THIS PASSION, M.A.N.U.P. IS IN ITS NINTH YEAR OF PROVIDING SERVICES AND HAS ALREADY BEEN FEATURED BY WASHINGTON POST, TAKOMA TV, TAKOMA NEWSLETTER, AND MORE FOR OUR INNOVATIVE WORK. WE HAVE PROVIDED YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND MENTORING SUPPORT TO MORE THAN 300 YOUTH AND THE PROGRAMS CONTINUE TO EXPAND. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE ALSO ENGAGED NEARLY 100 YOUNG MEN ACROSS THE D.C. METRO AREA BY WAY OF OUR MANUP BASKETBALL PROGRAM. LASTLY, WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH MORE THAN 50 COMMUNITY BASED NONPROFITS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN THE SUPPORT OF MEETING OUR MISSION.
