WE PURSUE INNOVATIVE WAYS TO TRANSFORM HEALTH CARE BY KEEPING PEOPLE HEALTHY, AND MAKING OUR SERVICES MORE CONVENIENT, ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE FOR ALL. IN AN INCREASINGLY UNCERTAIN WORLD, WE ARE COMMITTED TO HIGH-QUALITY, COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR EVERYONE - REGARDLESS OF COVERAGE OR ABILITY TO PAY. IN 2021, PROVIDENCE MADE PROGRESS TOWARDS ITS CLIMATE COMMITMENT TO BECOME CARBON NEGATIVE BY 2030. WE ARE IMPLEMENTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP SYSTEM STRATEGY THAT ENCOURAGES WASTE REDUCTIONS, EFFICIENT ENERGY AND WATER USE, LOCAL AGRICULTURE PARTNERSHIPS, LESS TOXIC AND FEWER CHEMICAL USE, AND A REDUCTION IN CARBON FROM TRAVEL. PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSGROUNDED IN OUR COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY HOSPICE OF LUBBOCK IS ONE OF ONLY TWO NON-PROFIT HOSPICES IN OUR SERVICE AREA. HOSPICE OF LUBBOCK IS STILL THE ONLY HOSPICE PROVIDER IN THE REGION TO CARE FOR PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. THE AGENCY WAS INCORPORATED IN JULY 1986 AND BEGAN ADMITTING PATIENTS IN OCTOBER 1987.WHILE THE LARGEST PERCENTAGE OF OUR PATIENTS WERE SERVED IN LUBBOCK COUNTY THIS FISCAL YEAR, HOSPICE OF LUBBOCK SERVED TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH CARE AND SUPPORT IN THE MAJORITY OF THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES.THE MAJORITY OF HOSPICE PATIENTS WERE SERVED IN THEIR HOMES BUT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN NURSING HOMES, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, HOSPITALS, AS WELL AS OTHER FACILITIES.HOSPICE OF LUBBOCK PATIENTS ARE REFERRED BY PHYSICIANS.
