THE DALLAS INSTITUTE OF HUMANITIES AND CULTURE IS A NONPROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO ENRICH AND DEEPEN THE PRACTICAL LIFE OF THE CITY WITH THE WISDOM AND IMAGINATION OF THE HUMANITIES. THE INSTITUTE ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION THROUGH EVENTS, CONFERENCES, AND GENERAL COURSES OF STUDY FOR OUR COMMUNITY, THROUGH PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS FOR EDUCATORS, AND THROUGH PUBLICATIONS.

GENERAL STUDIES: CLASSES, GROUPS, AND EVENTS FOR DIVERSE AUDIENCES, ENRICHING THE LIVES OF PARTICIPANTS THROUGH THE STUDY OF HUMANITIES.


HIETT PRIZE EVENT: AMONG THE NATIONS LARGEST AWARDS IN THE HUMANITIES, THE $50,000 HIETT PRIZE IS AWARDED ANNUALLY TO A YOUNG PERSON IN THE EARLY STAGES OF A CAREER IN THE HUMANITIES WHOSE WORK SHOWS GREAT PROMISE.
