THE IRONWORKERS LU#482 HAS BEEN WORKING FOR EMPLYMNT OPPORTUNITIES FAIR PAY HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS CONTINUING EDUC. AND OTHER WORKERS RIGHTS SINCE 1935 TRAINING ITS MEMBERS TO BE THE MOST HIGHLY TRAINED AND SKILLED WORKERS IN THE TRADE.

PER CAPITA PAYMENTS ARE REMITTED TO THE INTERNATIONAL IRON WORKERS ORGANIZATION THE TEXAS AFL-CIO,THE TEXAS BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES COUNCIL THE AUSTIN AFL-CIO AND THE CENTRAL TEXAS BUILDING TRADES COUNCIL. REVENUE CONSISTS OF DUES COLLECTED FROM MEMBERS.


PAYROLL AND BENEFITS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE ORGANIZATION AND FOR THE ORGANIZER WHO WORKSWITH THE MEMBERS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH A VARIETY OF SERVICES. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE WORKSHOPS TRAINING REPRESENTATION IN PROCURING WORK AND BENEFITS FOR ITS MEMBERS.
