IMPACT OKLAHOMA IS A NETWORK OF LIKE-MINDED WOMEN WHICH FOCUSES ON COLLECTIVE GIVING TO 5 NONPROFIT CATEGORIES: FAMILY, HEALTH & WELLNESS, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY AND CULTURE. THE MISSION IS TO PROVIDE TRANSFORMATIONAL DOLLARS SO THAT A NONPROFIT CAN ACHIEVE THE NEXT LEVEL OF SUCCESS WITH THEIR PROGRAMS. WHEN A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WINS ONE OF THE $100,000 GRANTS, THE EFFECT IS TRULY TRANSFORMATIONAL. THE MEMBERS OF IMPACT OKLAHOMA LEARN ABOUT PHILANTHROPY, AND GRANT APPLICANTS RECEIVE MUCH-NEEDED EXPOSURE FOR THEIR PROGRAMS. WOMEN IN OUR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM BENEFIT FROM SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. OUR MEMBERSHIP MIXERS GIVE OUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS A PLACE TO CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER AND HEAR FROM OUR FORMER BENEFICIARIES. OUR FOCUS AREA COMMITTEES PROVIDE INFORMATION ON LOCAL NONPROFITS WITHIN A FOCUS AREA, AND EDUCATE COMMITTEE MEMBERS AS TO THE HEALTH AND DIRECTION OF MANY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. THEY USE THIS INFORMATION TO MAKE INFORMED RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE MEMBERSHIP BODY, AND TO INFORM THEIR OWN GIVING. OUR GRANTMAKING PROGRAM RESULTED IN STRENGTHENED AND MORE RESILIENT NONPROFITS, AND ALLOWED APPLICANTS TO CREATE IMPLEMENTATION PLANS FOR THEIR MOST AMBITIOUS PROGRAMS. WE ULTIMATELY PROVIDED FUNDING TO POSITIVE TOMORROWS TO EXPAND THEIR TRANSPORTATION NETWORK FOR HOMELESS SCHOOL CHILDREN IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY AND PUTNAM CITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND PROVIDED THE SEED FUNDING FOR A TINY HOMES COMMUNITY THAT WILL ALLOW CHILDREN AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE, OR IN CHARGE OF SIBLING GROUPS A HOME BASE AND EXPAND THE SERVICES THEY RECEIVE FROM PIVOT, A TURNING POINT FOR YOUTH.
