THE PURPOSE OF THE PLAQUEMINES PARISH FAIR AND ORANGE FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION IS TO FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE THE HOLDING OF FAIRS, EXPOSITIONS, FESTIVALS DISPLAYS AND TO PROMOTE THE CITRUS INDUSTRY, AGRICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, THE ARTS, GOVERNMENTAL AND OTHER EXHIBITS AND DISPLAYS TO ASSIST AND ENCOURAGE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES, MATERIAL PROSPERITY AND PROGRESS OF PLAQUEMINES PARISH, AND THE STATE OF LOUISIANA.
