THE PALM BEACH COUNTY FILM AND TELEVISION COMMISSION'S MISSION IS TO GENERATE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON BUSINESS TOURISM AND THE ECONOMY IN PALM BEACH COUNTY THROUGH THE GROWTH OF THE FILM, TELEVISION, DIGITAL MEDIA AND STILL PHOTOGRAPHY INDUSTRY BY ATTRACTING ON-LOCATION PRODUCTION, EDUCATING OUR LOCAL WORKFORCE AND PROVIDING SUPERIOR SERVICES TO BOTH THE VISITING AND INDIGENOUS PRODUCTION COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION IS THE SOLE SOURCE PROVIDER ON CONTRACT WITH THE PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE AND MARKETING SERVICES AND PROVIDE FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP FOR VARIOUS TOURIST RELATED MARKETING EFFORTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES THE COUNTY AS A DESTINATION FOR PRODUCTION AND ISSUES PERMITS FOR MORE THAN 50 MUNICIPALITIES AND TAXING DISTRICTS. EXPANDED FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE OVERSIGHT OF THE PALM BEACHES TV BROADCAST CHANNEL, BRANDED TOURISM RELATED PROGRAMMING, ADVERTISING, PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PRODUCING FLORIDA'S LARGEST STATEWIDE FILM COMPETITION AND AWARDS SHOW, THE PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS VIA A CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY.
