HART SQUARE FOUNDATION PRESERVES THE LOG STRUCTURES, ARTIFACTS AND MEMORIES HOUSED AT HART SQUARE VILLAGE. THE FOUNDATION INSTILLS THE INGENUITY, RESOURCEFULNESS AND RESILIENCE OF OUR ANCESTORS THROUGH PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON THE EDUCATION OF FUTURE GENERATIONS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
HART SQUARE VILLAGE FESTIVAL: THE NATION'S LARGEST DEMONSTRATION OF EARLY AMERICAN CRAFTMANSHIP. OVER 300 ARTISANS AND DOCENTS BRING THE HISTORICAL VILLAGE TO LIFE WITH THEIR TRADES, STORIES, AND MORE.
SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS: STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT EARLY AMERICAN LIFE THROUGH TOURING THE CABINS AND PARTICIPATING IN HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES. STUDENTS GET TO WORK WITH LOCAL ARTISANS AND STORYTELLERS TO BRING THE EXPERIENCE TO LIFE.
CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE: AN INTIMATE LOOK AT CHRISTMAS IN THE 1800'S. A HISTORIC WORSHIP SERVICE AT THE LOG CHURCH AND EDUCATIONAL LOOK AT THE CABINS AND THEIR STORIES.
