THE YMCA OF PORTSMOUTHIS A LEADING NONPROFIT COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES THROUGH YOUTHDEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. EVERY DAY, WE WORKSIDE-BY-SIDE WITH OUR NEIGHBORS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, INCOME OR BACKGROUND, HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN, GROW AND THRIVE.

THE YMCA OF PORTSMOUTH MAKES ACCESSIBLE THE SUPPORT AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT EMPOWER PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES TO LEARN, GROW AND THRIVE. OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, FUNDED BY OUR ANNUAL STRONG KIDS CAMPAIGN AND UNITED WAY ALLOCATIONS, ALLOWS MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAMS & OBTAIN MEMBERSHIPS THEY MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD. IN 2016, WE PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO 3,734 PARTICIPANTS IN YOUTH, AQUATICS, & MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS. WITH A FOCUS OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBLITY. THE Y NURTURES THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY YOUTH AND TEEN, IMPROVES THE COMMUNITY'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO GIVE BACK AND SUPPORT NEIGHBORS.
