FACILITATE THE KEEN AFFILIATES ABILITY TO PROVIDE ONE-TO-ONE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES IN A NON-COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT WHICH ENCOURAGES THE FULFILLMENT OF INDIVIDUAL GOALS AT NO COST TO THEIR PARENTS OR CARE GIVERS.
KEEN PROVIDES ITS SERVICES BY PAIRING A TRAINED VOLUNTEER, ONE-TO-ONE, WITH A YOUNG PERSON WITH DISABILITIES FOR SPORTS AND RECREATION ACTIVITIES, THAT CAME TO A HALT IN MARCH, 2020, AND KEEN PIVOTED TO VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, OFFERING A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS VIA ZOOM, INITIALLY REPLICATING THE IN-PERSON SCHEDULE, BUT EXPANDING TO INCLUDE PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, INCLUDING PROGRAMS FOR CAREGIVERS.
