UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM OF STUDY: 1,743 FULL TIME STUDENT EQUIVALENCY.MCDANIEL COLLEGE HAS A LONG HISTORY AS A SMALL PRIVATE COLLEGE OF THE LIBERAL ARTS, MCDANIEL OFFERS COURSES OF STUDY IN MORE THAN 70 AREAS, INCLUDING PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS, TEACHING CERTIFICATION, AND OFF-CAMPUS PROGRAMS. STUDENTS MAY PURSUE TRADITIONAL, DUAL, OR DOUBLE MAJORS, OR DESIGN THEIR OWN COURSE OF STUDY.THE AVERAGE CLASS SIZE IS 14 STUDENTS; THE STUDENT-FACULTY RATIO IS 13:1, MCDANIEL HAS 128 FULL-TIME FACULTY; 95 PERCENT HOLD TERMINAL DEGREES IN THEIR DISCIPLINES, ALL COURSES AND LABORATORIES ARE TAUGHT BY REGULAR FACULTY MEMBERS, NOT TEACHING ASSISTANTS, THE COLLEGE OFFERS COUNTLESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR OFF-CAMPUS STUDY BOTH WITHIN THE UNITED STATES AND OVERSEAS, AMONG THEM: STUDY IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY THROUGH AN AGREEMENT WITH COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL WHICH FOLLOWS MCDANIEL'S CURRICULUM,MCDANIEL IS ACCREDITED BY THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION OF THE MIDDLE STATES ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS.
