THE ORGANIZATION'S GOAL IS TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION THROUGH CONFERENCES, MEETINGS, PUBLICATIONS AND VARIOUS PROGRAM OUTREACH ACTIVITIES.

THE ORGANIZATIONS MEMBERSHIP SERVICES PROGRAM ENCOMPASSES ITS GENERAL ACTIVITIES AIMED AT EXTENDING MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE AMONG PHYSICIANS AND THE PUBLIC; MAINTAINING AND ELEVATING THE STANDARDS OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND MEDICAL ETHICS; SECURING THE ENACTMENT OF JUST LAWS RELATING TO THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE AND THE HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC; AND PROMOTING FRIENDLY RELATIONS AMONG PHYSICIANS. INCLUDED IN THESE ACTIVITIES ARE GENERAL ACTIVITIES THAT AID THE ORGANIZATION IN SERVING AS AN ADVOCATE FOR PATIENTS BY PROMOTING ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE, AFFORDABLE QUALITY MEDICAL CARE AND AS THE RESOURCE AND SPOKESPERSON FOR MEDICINE IN MARYLAND.


THE MEDICAL PRACTICE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM HELPS PHYSICIANS NAVIGATE THROUGH THE CHANGING HEALTHCARE LANDSCAPE. THE MAIN CONTRACT IS WITH CENTER FOR MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SERVICES. CARE TEAMS ARE DEPLOYED TO FURNISH CARE COORDINATION SERVICES TO THE MARYLAND PRIMARY CARE PROGRAM BENEFICIARIES TO HELP THE MDPCP MEET CARE TRANSFORMATION REQUIREMENTS.


THE PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM EXTENDS PRACTICE KNOWLEDGE AMONG PHYSICIANS AND HEALTH KNOWLEDGE TO THE PUBLIC THAT IMPROVES QUALITY OF CARE AND HEALTH, BY CONDUCTING SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES IN EXCHANGE FOR ASSETS RECEIVED FROM GRANTORS.
