TO CREATE THEATRE OF THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL QUALITY IN DELAWARE AND THEREBY ENRICH THE VITALITY OF THE AREA THROUGH ARTISTIC PROGRAMMING, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PRESENTATION OF THEATRICAL PLAYS TO SUBSCRIBERS, TICKET BUYERS, INCLUDING SCHOOL GROUPS. DELAWARE THEATRE COMPANY (DTC) PRODUCES PROFESSIONAL THEATRICAL PLAYS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SOME OF THE SHOWS INITIALLY PRODUCED AT DTC MOVE ON TO BROADWAY OR OFF-BROADWAY. IN ADDITION TO THEIR MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS, DTC HAS HAD A COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS. THIS ENSEMBLE-BASED PROGRAM TOUCHES SCHOOLS, NURSING HOMES AND PRISONS. THE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM WAS SIMILAR TO THE YEAR PRIOR.
