THE KANSAS CITY CHAMBER ORCHESTRA (KCCO), ESTABLISHED IN 1987, IS COMPOSED OF LOCAL PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS AND SOLOISTS WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL REPUTATIONS. THE KCCO SPECIALIZES IN BAROQUE AND CLASSICAL PERIOD MUSIC IN ADDITION TO PREMIERING AND PERFORMING WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY COMPOSERS WRITTEN FOR CHAMBER ORCHESTRA. THE KCCO IS COMMITTED TO PARTNERING WITH OTHER ARTS ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE UNIQUE PROGRAMMING. THROUGH THE PERFORMANCE OF CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED PUBLIC CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERTS IN ADDITION TO FREE EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS DESIGNED FOR AREA STUDENTS, THE KCCO ENRICHES THE CULTURAL LIFE OF OUR COMMUNITY, AND ITS VISITORS,AND SEEKS TO PURSUE EXCELLENCE, AND SHARE OUR EXCITEMENT AND PASSION FOR FINE CHAMBER MUSIC IN OUR COMMUNITY.
