TO ENCOURAGE AND FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS IN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS BY EVERY ROTARIAN.

MEMBER ACTIVITIES - THE ROTARY CLUB OF WICHITA IS AN ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON MAKING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, SPECIFICALLY IN THE AREA'S OF CHILDREN'S LITERACY, HOME OWNERSHIP AND FINANCIAL LITERACY AMONG GRADE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH. OUR CLUB PARTICIPATES WITH 21 ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE READING IS FUNDAMENTAL PROGRAM. WE DONATE APPROXIMATELY 24,000 BOOKS PER YEAR AND IMPACT 10,000 CHILDREN. OUR CLUB DISTRIBUTES HARD-BACK SCHOLASTIC DICTIONARIES TO ROUGHLY 2,600 THIRD- GRADERS IN WICHITA ANNUALLY. OUR CLUB PARTNERS WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TO HELP FUND AND BUILD A HOME FOR A FAMILY EVERY OTHER YEAR. OUR CLUB PARTNERS WITH JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT TO TEACH A FINANICAL LITERACY CLASS IN WICHITA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS ANNUALLY.
