PROVIDE YOUNG PEOPLE WITH UNIQUE CURRICULUMS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO CULTIVATE POSITIVE DECISION MAKING THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF.

THE FIRST TEECENTRAL MS SERVED 15,800 PARTICIPANTS IN 2021 THROUGH OUR LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CLASSES, COMMUNITY EVENT AND FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAM. IN ADDITION TO THE TWO FULL TIME STAFF MEMBERS, OUR CHAPTER HAS 5 PART TIME COACHES WHO LEAD OUR LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CLASSES AT 5 DIFFERENT PROGRAM LOCATIONS IN OUR SERVICE AREA. OUR CHAPTER SERVES CHILDREN IN HINDS, RANKIN AND MADISON COUNTIES. THE WORK OF CHAPTER COULD NOT BE DELIVERED WITHOUT THE 35 VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED TO DELIVER OUR MISSION THROUGH PROGRAMS, EVENTS, CLINICS AND SCHOOL PROGRAMS.FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAMOUR FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAM SERVED 10,200 KIDS THROUGH 48 SCHOOLS IN OUR FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAM. THE FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAM IS COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM WHERE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS ARE PROVIDED WITH THE NECESSARY ELEMENTS TO DELIVER THE PROGRAM INCLUDING CURRICULUM, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT. THE CURRICULUM CENTERS ON THREE PRIMARY AREAS THAT ARE SEAMLESSLY INTEGRATED INTO EACH LESSON: 1) SAFE, FUN INTRODUCTION TO THE LIFELONG SPORT OF GOLF, 2) CHARACTER AND HEALTH EDUCATIONPERSONAL AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, 3)MOTOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND CONCEPT LEARNING. FIRST TEE PARTICIPATED IN TWO FIELD DAYS IN 2021. THE FIRST ONE WAS AT PARK PLACE CHIRSTIAN ACADEMY AND THE SECOND WAS AT STONEBRIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. OVER 1200 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN FIRST TEE GOLF ACTIVITIES IN THESE FIELD DAYS.COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS AND PROGRAMSOUR FIRST OUTREACH PROGRAM IN 2021, WAS WITH CANOPY CHILDREN'S SOLUTIONS. OUR COACHES PROVIDED FIRST TEE CLASSES ON WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY FOR 6 WEEKS IN QUARTER 1. WE PROVIDED 6 WEEKS OF LIFE SKILLS AND GOLF SKILLS. 96 KIDS PARTICIPATED IN THE CLASSES.OUR CHAPTER PARTNERED WITH THE GROVE PARK JUNIOR GOLF CLINIC TO ADD FIRST TEE CURRICULUM TO THEIR SUMMER CLINIC. 27 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN 6 WEEKS OF CAMP. THE CLASSES MEET 5 DAYS A WEEK FOR 3 HOURS. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO ADD 8 NEW COACHES TO OUR FIRST TEE COACHES TO OUR COACHING STAFF.OUR CHAPTER ALSO PARTNERED WITH THE MS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM TO BRING FIRST TEE CLASSES TO 91 PLAYERS ON MONDAY AND FRIDAY AFTERNOONS AT MS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. THE KIDS PARTICIPATED IN GOLF SKILLS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS THE PLAYER YARDAGE BOOK TO LEARN THE FIRST TEE 9 CORE VALUES AND HEALTHY HABITS. FIRST TEE PARTNERED WITH THE CITY OF JACKSON TO PROVIDE FIRST TEE CLASSES ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY IN JULY DURING THE GROVE PARK COMMUNITY CENTER SUMMER PROGRAM. 35 KIDS PARTICIPATED IN THE CLASSES WITH OUR FIRST TEE COACHES.DURING THE SANDERSON FARMS CHAMPIONSHIP, THE FIRST TEECENTRAL MS ARRANGED FOR 10 KIDS TO ATTEND THE SANDERSON FARMS CHAMPIONSHIP ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY TO WATCH GOLF AND ENJOY LUNCH AT THE TOURNAMENT IN THE HORNE TENT.OUR CHAPTER STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS MARSHALLED HOLE 15 DURING THE SANDERSON FARMS CHAMPIONSHIP. WE HAD 41 PEOPLE VOLUNTEER AT LEAST ONE SHIFT DURING THE TOURNAMENT ON HOLE 15. 2021 IS THE 3RD YEAR THAT OUR CHAPTER HAS MANAGED HOLE 15.FIRST TEE HOSTED TWO CLINICS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SANDERSON FARMS CHAMPIONSHIP DURING THE 2021 CHAMPIONSHIP. THE BCBS FIRST TEE YOUTH CLINIC WAS HOSTED ON SEPTEMBER 27TH AT THE COUNTRY CLUB OF JACKSON. 120 KIDS FROM 4 LOCAL SCHOOLS ENJOYED A CLINIC, LUNCH, T-SHIRTS AND WATCH GOLF. ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, FIRST TEE PROVIDED EQUIPMENT AND COACHES FOR THE ALL STAR CLINIC IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SANDERSON FARMS CHAMPIONSHIP. 35 SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN IN GOLF ACTIVITIES.ON OCTOBER 16, WE HOSTED OUR CHAPTER'S FIRST YOUTH GOLF TOURNAMENT AT PETE BROWN GOLF CLUB. WE HAD 15 KIDS PLAYING IN THE TOURNAMENT. 9 COACHES AND BOARD MEMBERS CAME OUT TO HELP US WITH THE TOURNAMENT. WE ALSO HOSTED PGA TOUR PLAYER, CHAD RAMEY FOR A CLINIC FOLLOWING THE TOURNAMENT. THE FIRST TEE LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CLASSES ARE THE CORE OF OUR PROGRAMS AND WHERE PARTICIPANTS MOVE THROUGH THE LEVELS OF THE FIRST TEE, BUILDING UPON THE GOLF AND LIFE SKILLS LEARNED. OUR CHAPTER OFFERED 4 SESSIONS (SPRING, SUMMER, FALL AND WINTER CLASSES) OF LIFE SKILLS CLASSES AT PETE BROWN GOLF FACILITY, DEERFIELD GOLF COURSE, MS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM AND PATRICK FARMS GOLF COURSE. OVER 450 KIDS PARTICIPATED IN LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CLASSES, CAMPS AND EVENTS IN 2021. 468 IN LIFE SKILLS EXPERIENCE CLASSES AND EVENTS1,385 IN COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS
