THE MISSION OF THE FACT RELIEF FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT FAMILIES SUDDENLY BATTLING A DEBILITATING AND/OR TERMINAL DISEASE AS WELL AS OTHER CATASTROPHIC LIFE EVENTS THAT MAY IMPACT THE ABILITY OF THE HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD TO PROVIDE FOR THE FAMILY.

PROVIDED HOUSING EXPENSE ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY A CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS OR INJURY DURING THE PERIOD OF REHABILITATION AND/OR HOSPITALIZATION. THESE EXPENSES INCLUDED THE DAY TO DAY LIVING EXPENSES AS WELL AS RENT, MORTGAGE, AND UTILITY PAYMENTS.PROVIDED MEDICAL EXPENSE ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY A CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS OR INJURY DURING THE PERIOD OF REHABILITATION AND/OR HOSPITALIZATION. THESE EXPENSES INCLUDED MEDICAL INSURANCE PAYMENTS, UNINSURED MEDICAL COSTS, HOME HEALTHCARE PAYMENTS, AS WELL AS REHABILITATION EXPENDITURES. 12 FAMILIES BENEFITED FROM BOTH PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS GRANTS TO THE ALS ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA, AND THE EMORY ALS CENTER.
