ICAAD CONTINUED TRACKGBV, A PROGRAM TO PROMOTE ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS IN PACIFIC ISLAND COUNTRIES & THE CARIBBEAN, BY WORKING WITH THE JUDICIARY, LAW FIRMS, AND LOCAL NGOS TO IMPROVE ACCOUNTABILITY IN COURTS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. WE HAVE ANALYZED OVER 5,000 GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE CASES IN THE REGION TO IDENTIFY BIASED LEGAL DECISIONS. THIS DATA IS USED FOR RULE OF LAW TRAININGS AND TO MAKE LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY CHANGES. ICAAD AND ITS ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE DEVELOPED A POETRY EXHIBITION EXPLORING LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE U.S. DICTA SEEKS TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE U.S. TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE TIMELESSNESS OF THE STRUGGLE FOR HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS, BUT ALSO THE PROGRESS MADE BY LEGAL ACTIVISTS.
