Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

SF.CITI, THE SAN FRANCISCO EDUCATION FUND, AND THE SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT LAUNCHED OUR CIRCLE THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM IN 2014. CIRCLE THE SCHOOLS PARTNERS LOCAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES WITH SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC SCHOOLS USING AN ADOPT-A-SCHOOL MODEL. OVER THE COURSE OF A SCHOOL YEAR EACH COMPANY ORGANIZES THREE TO FIVE ACTIVITIES WITH ITS PARTNERED SCHOOL. THESE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES ARE TAILORED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL: FROM DONATING BOOKS, READING ALOUD TO STUDENTS, OR HOSTING FIELD TRIPS TO A COMPANY'S OFFICE. THESE ACTIVITIES FOSTER LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STUDENTS, THEIR FAMILIES, AND COMPANY EMPLOYEES. TO DATE, WE HAVE PARTNERED 51 PUBLIC SCHOOLS WITH 31 LOCAL COMPANIES, WITH SALESFORCE TAKING ON 20 SCHOOLS. OUR GOAL IS TO FIND CORPORATE PARTNERS FOR ALL 100 PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN SAN FRANCISCO.
