OUTREACH: OUTREACH TO CLUBS WAS PAUSED IN FY21 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC EMERGENCY SHUT-DOWNS. INSTEAD, OUTREACH TOOK THE FORM OF STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS, PARTNERSHIPS, AND WORD-OF- MOUTH TO REACH THOUSANDS OF POTENTIAL CLIENTS. IN 2020, WE ALSO INVESTED TIME AND FUNDS INTO SWER-LED EFFORTS AND MUTUAL AID FUNDS AS A FORM OF OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY CONNECTION.


RESOURCE REFERRAL PROGRAM: FOR CLIENTS WHO HAVE ONE OR TWO PARTICULAR GOALS, THE CUPCAKE GIRLS PROVIDES REFERRALS TO VETTED, SAFE, AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND RESOURCES WHO HAVE AGREED TO SEE OUR CLIENTS PRO-BONO OR AT A REDUCED COST. THESE PARTNERS MAY BE INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY AND INCLUDE DOCTORS, TAX PREPARERS, THERAPISTS, AND PARENT AND FAMILY RESOURCES.


ADVOCACY PROGRAM (FORMERLY CASE MANAGEMENT): FOR CLIENTS WITH MORE ROBUST GOALS, CLIENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WEEKLY WITH AN ASSIGNED CUPCAKE GIRLS ADVOCATE WHO COLLABORATES WITH THEM TO SET AND ACHIEVE S.M.A.R.T. (SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ACHIEVABLE, RELEVANT, + TIME-BASED) GOALS, AND CONNECT CLIENTS WITH PARTNERS AND RESOURCES. THE ADVOCACY PROGRAM ASSISTS WITH: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEX TRAFFICKING, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, HOUSELESSNESS, ETC. THIS PROGRAM ON AVERAGE LASTS 6-9 MONTHS, BUT THERE IS NO END DATE.
