INSTITUTE FOR WAR & PEACE REPORTING IS ORGANIZED FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES INCLUDING SUPPORTING RECOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT IN TRANSITIONAL SOCIETIES BY PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, RESEARCH AND AN INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM FOR INDEPENDENT MEDIA, HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVITIES, AND OTHER LOCAL DEMOCRATIC VOICES AND ORGANIZATION.

GLOBAL: IWPR WORKS WITH LOCAL JOURNALISTS AND PARTNERS TO PRODUCE CONTENT IN LOCAL LANGUAGES AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, DISSEMINATED VIA LOCAL ONLINE AND TRADITIONAL MEDIA PLATFORMS TO IMPACT THE COMMUNITIES, COUNTRIES AND REGIONS WHERE THEY LIVE.


MENA: IWPR OPERATED PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON TRAINING, MENTORING AND PROVIDING ONGOING SUPPORT TO JOURNALISTS AND CIVIL SOCIETY ACTIVISTS WORKING IN CONFLICT ZONES. THE DIGITAL SECURITY PROGRAM HELPS ENSURE THAT REPORTERS AND ACTIVISTS ARE ABLE TO ADVANCE THEIR WORK BY USING SOCIAL MEDIA SAFELY AND BY PREVENTING OUTSIDE ACCESS TO THEIR INFORMATION, DATA OR NETWORKS BY THOSE WHO THREATEN THEM.


LAC: IWPR WORKS WITH JOURNALISTS AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION, STRENGTHENING THEIR ABILITIES TO CONDUCT FACT-BASED REPORTING, TO PROVIDE OBJECTIVE, UNBIASED AND ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE COUNTRY AND TO WORK TOGETHER TO ESTABLISH MUTUAL SUPPORT NETWORKS.
