DURING THE 12 MONTHS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022, THE PEACE CENTER HELPED 1,366 HOUSEHOLDS (4,893 INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING THE SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM) WITH THEIR NECESSITIES OF LIFE INCLUDING FRESH AND NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS, TOILETRIES, PAPER PRODUCTS, BLANKETS, AND WINTER WEAR. PEACE CENTER OFFERED IN PERSON SHOPPING AS WELL AS A PRE-PACKED BOX AND BAG DISTRIBUTION MODEL FOR CLIENTS CHOOSING CURBSIDE PICKUP. PEACE CENTER DISTRIBUTED 137,462 POUNDS OF FOOD BASED ON THE SIZE OF EACH FAMILY. THE FOOD SHELF IS STAFFED BY 27 VOLUNTEERS AND IS OPEN THREE MORNINGS AND ONE EVENING EACH WEEK. DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR, NON-PERISHABLE FOOD WAS DISTRIBUTED WEEKLY TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO WERE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE OR REDUCED LUNCHES RESULTING IN A TOTAL OF 3,288 POUNDS IN 2022.
