TO PROMOTE COOPERATION BETWEEN THE LOCAL UNIONS AND TO SETTLE ALL DIFFERENCES ARISING BETWEEN THEM, TO PROMOTE APPRENTICE TRAINING, TO CREATE A HIGHTER STANDARD OF SKILL, TO SECURE ADEQUATE COMPENSATION FOR THE WORKERS, TO CULTIVATE BETTER RELATIONS BETWEEN THE COUNCIL AND THE EMPLOYERS, TO ASSIST MEMBERS IN SECURING EMPLOYMENT AND TO PROTECT MEMBERS BY LEGAL AND PROPER METHODS AGAINST INJUSTICE. THE COUNCIL ALSO WORKS TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF LIVING, THE MORAL AND INTELLECTUAL CONDITION OF THE MEMBERS AND TO ESTABLISH UNIFORM AGREEMENTS FOR THE VARIOUS LOCAL UNIONS AFFILIATED WITH THIS COUNCIL.
