EL PUENTE HIGH SCHOOL IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A FULL DAY, ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL-TO-WORK EDUCATION, WITH EMPHASIS ON MATH AND SCIENCE FOR AT-RISK STUDENTS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MILWAUKEE. EL PUENTE OPENED IN JULY 1997. THE MILWAUKEE PARENTAL CHOICE PROGRAM CURRENTLY FUNDS THE SCHOOL.
NORTHWEST OPPORTUNITIES VOCATIONAL ACADEMY (NOVA) IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A FULL DAY, ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL-TO WORK EDUCATION FOR AT-RISK STUDENTS ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF MILWAUKEE. SINCE 1993, NOVA HAS BEEN SERVING AT-RISK STUDENTS THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH MILWAUKEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
ESCUELA VERDE EDUCATES USING THE EDVISIONS STUDENT-CENTERED, PROJECT-BASED ACADEMIC MODEL WITH FOCUS ON ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND URBAN ECOLOGY. SINCE 2012, THE SCHOOL HAS BEEN FUNDED PRIMARILY THROUGH A CITY OF MILWAUKEE 2R CHARTER CONTRACT.
SHALOM HIGH SCHOOL (SHALOM) PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SERVICES LEADING TO A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA FOR STUDENTS WHO FIND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS DIFFICULT IN TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS. SINCE 1982, SHALOM HAS BEEN SERVING AT-RISK STUDENTS THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH MILWAUKEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
