COMMUNITY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:ENSURED OUR MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS (SENIORS, CHILDREN, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS) HAVE THE SERVICES AND RESOURCES TO MAINTAIN QUALITY OF LIFE. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING JOB TRAINING, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, AND OTHER COMMUNITY SUPPORTS.


HUNGER COUNCIL AND HOMELESS CONTINUM OF CARE:FACILITATED THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SYSTEM RESPONSES FOR PEOPLE SEEKING FOOD OR HOUSING SUPPORTS. THE SYSTEMS ARE ABLE TO QUICKLY RESPOND TO THE PERSONS NEEDS THROUGH A NETWORK OF COORDINATED RESOURCES. THIS INCLUDES ADDING RESOURCES WHERE THERE ARE GAPS.


EDUCATION NEEDS:RECOGNIZES AND ACTIVELY SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF EARLY CHILDHOOD READING THROUGH PRESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS, PARENT AND CHILD SUPPORTS, TEACHER CDA CERTIFICATION AND LOCAL READING TRAILS. SEE SCHEDULE I FOR LIST OF GRANTEES RECEIVING EDUCATIONAL NEEDS GRANTS.
