TO REPRESENT MEMBERS AND TO SECURE AND IMPROVE FAIR WAGES, HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS AND OTHER ECONOMIC BENEFITS THROUGH COLLECTIVE BARGAINING. IN 2021, 54,739 MEMBERS WERE SERVED.


TO ACT IN COOPERATION WITH THE APPROPRIATE LOCALS AS THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGENT FOR ALL PUBLIC SERVICE WORKERS IN MATTERS AFFECTING MEMBERS WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF MORE THAN ONE LOCAL UNION.


TO INITIATE AND COORDINATE A STATEWIDE PROGRAM OF LEGISLATIVE ACTION, AIMED AT INVOLVING AS MANY MEMBERS OF AFFILIATED LOCAL UNIONS AS POSSIBLE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CARRYING OUT THE LEGISLATIVE AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING GOALS OF THIS COUNCIL.
