EAM IS A WELCOMING CENTER TO VIEW AND EXPERIENCE THE VISUAL ARTS OF OUR TIME. THE MUSEUM COMPLEX ENRICHES LIVES BY DEEPENING THE KNOWLEDGE OF ART, ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN, INCREASING THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELEVANCE OF VISUAL ART IN OUR SOCIETY AND SPARKING THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL CREATIVITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROMOTES THE VISUAL ARTS THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, CLASSES, AND THE PRESERVATION OF OBJECTS AND DOCUMENTS. 1) WITH COVID ADAPTATIONS, 2021 WAS ANOTHER YEAR OF ADJUSTMENTS, INCLUDING CLOSURES AND REDUCED PROGRAMMING SEASONS. A TOTAL OF 8,800 VISITED THE GALLERIES AND MCCORMICK HOUSE,. GENERALLY THERE ARE 3 DISTINCT PROGRAMMING SEASONS, WITH EXHIBITS AND IN-PERSON EVENTS, BUT 2 SEPARATE SHOWS WERE PLANNED WITH REMOTE PROGRAMS. 2) ONLY A FEW SESSIONS OF OUR STUDIO ART CLASSES AND CAMPS RAN IN 2021, AND WHEN RUNNING IT WAS WITH LIMITED CAPACITY. WE HAD 109 PEOPLE ENROLL IN 6-WEEK CLASS SESSIONS (RANGING FROM CARTOONING TO CERAMICS) AND 414 CHILDREN IN OUR SUMMER ART CAMPS. 3) THE MUSEUM'S ANNUAL FUNDRAISER TRADITIONALLY WELCOMES OVER 200 ATTENDEES EACH YEAR, BUT A REDUCED NUMBER OF 140 ATTENDED AND RAISED NEARLY AS MUCH AS USUAL.
