THE EMERGENCY NURSES ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS THE GLOBAL EMERGENCY NURSING COMMUNITY AND THE PATIENTS THEY SERVE THROUGH EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND PHILANTHROPIC ENDEAVORS.

THE FOUNDATION AWARDED 93 ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING $343,000. 3 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN THE NON-RN CATEGORY. 9 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN THE UNDERGRADUATE CATEGORY. 53 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN THE GRADUATE CATEGORY. 28 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN THE DOCTORAL CATEGORY. THE FOUNDATION AWARDED 100 CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING $19,900 AND DISBURSED 65 TOTALING $12,935* 89 CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS TO MEMBERS ATTENDING THE ENA ANNUAL CONFERENCE. 11 CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS TO INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS ATTENDING THE ENA ANNUAL CONFERENCE. *SINCE ENA'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE MOVED TO A VIRTUAL SETTING, SEVERAL APPROVED SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS OPTED TO DEFER THEIR AWARD TO 2022.

EXPLORING CLINICAL JUDGEMENT AND INFLUENCES ON EMERGENCY NURSES' HANDOFF PROCESS WORK INTENSIFICATION AND OCCUPATIONAL WELL-BEING: A MODERATED MEDICATION MODEL OF UNFINISHED NURSING CARE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL IN EMERGENCY NURSING.** TWO GRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $600 EACH WERE APPROVED IN 2020 AND DISBURSED IN 2021 $12,000 WAS AWARDED TO TWO PROJECTS AS THE ENA FOUNDATION AND SIGMA THETA TAU INTERNATIONAL JOINT RESEARCH GRANT. PROJECT TITLES WERE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES OF THE EHR AND COGNITIVE LOAD IN ED NURSES AND A NATIONWIDE STUDY OF EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT NURSES' ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME. $30,000 WAS PROVIDED TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICINE FOUNDATION FOR A JOINTLY FUNDED EMF/ENAF HEALTH DISPARITIES RESEARCH GRANT. THE AWARDED PROJECT WAS TITLED, COMMUNITY OUTREACH REGISTERED NURSE: A RURAL APPROACH. **THIS PROJECT WAS APPROVED IN 2021 BUT FUNDING WAS DISBURSED IN 2022. THE ENA FOUNDATION DISBURSED $35,341 IN FUNDING FOR COVID-19 HARDSHIP GRANTS IN 2021 IN SUPPORT OF 59 INDIVIDUALS.
