SUCCESSFULLY PROMOTED THE DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM INDUSTRY IN WAYNE COUNTY INDIANA THROUGHOUT 2020. THE MOST RECENT WAYNE COUNTY ECONOMIC IMPACT THROUGH VISITOR SPENDING REPORT 2019 SHOWED TOURISM SPENDING BY VISITORS GENERATED 121.1 MILLION, AN INCREASE OF 2.77 OVER 2018 TOURISM SPENDING S OF 117.8 MILLION. THE COMBINED WELCOME CENTER VISITORS, CONVENTION PARTICIPANTS AND GENERAL INQUIRIES WAS 19,990. IN ADDITION, APPROXIMATELY 6,797 DOWNLOADS, 125,214 WEBSITE VISITORS AND 270,183 PAGE VIEWS WERE GENERATED FROM THE BUREAUS WEBSITE. ACTUAL EARNED MEDIA COVERAGE TOTALED 119,907 WITH ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS GENERATING 22,118 USERS.
