THE FORT WAYNE CHILDREN'S CHOIR TEACHES MUSIC LITERACY TO CHILDREN FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS THROUGH SONG AND PERFORMANCE.

Part 3 - Line 4a
VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING TRAINING AND REHEARSAL FOR CONCERT PERFORMANCES, RESIDENT FINE ARTS CAMP, FALL CHORAL FESTIVAL, CHORAL TOUR, AND VARIOUS PERFORMANCES. THE ORGANIZATION HAD OVER 295 STUDENTS FROM 87 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE THIS FISCAL YEAR. DIVIDED INTO EIGHT DIFFERENT ENSEMBLES, STUDENTS RECEIVED AN EXEMPLARY MUSIC EDUCATION TAKING THEM FROM THE REHEARSAL ROOM TO THE CONCERT STAGE WITH EASE. PARTICIPATING IN OVER 50 PERFORMANCES OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR, THE STUDENTS IN THE FORT WAYNE CHILDREN'S CHOIR REACHED OVER 42,000 LISTENERS. THE CHOIR HAS SERVED THE COMMUNITY FOR 45 YEARS, CONTRIBUTING TO THE CULTURAL FABRIC OF GREATER FORT WAYNE.
