THE MISSION OF HOPE HOUSE IS SEEKING TO END HOMELESSNESS IN HANCOCK COUNTY BY TRANSITIONING HOMELESS WOMEN AND CHILDREN INTO PERMANENT HOUSING AND ASSISTING LOW INCOME PEOPLE IN SECURING AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

THE HOPE HOUSE ABLE HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE HOMELESS. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE ALONG WITH CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO HELP WITH WEEKLY LIVING NEEDS.


THE HOPE HOUSE HOUSING OFFICE PROVIDES FREE ASSISTANCE TO APPROXIMATELY 6,900 LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES, LANDLORDS, OR MANAGEMENT COMPANIES TO PREVENT EVICTION OR FORECLOSURE BY PROVIDING MEDITATION, CONFLICT RESOLUTION, AND COMMUNITY REFERRALS. HOPE HOUSE DOES NOT PROVIDE CASH ASSISTANCE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN SAFE, DECENT, AFFORDABLE HOUSING EITHER BY RENTING OR PURCHASING HOUSING.


THE HOPE HOUSE INDEPENDENCE PROGRAM PROVIDE RRP RAPID REHOUSING. THE PROGRAM IS A THREE TO SIX MONTH RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN WHICH, HOUSEHOLDS HAVE MONTHLY CO-PAYS WHILE RECEIVING ASSISTANCE. QUALIFICATIONS ARE THE ADULT MUST BE LITERALLY HOMELESS, MUST HAVE PROOF OF INCOME AND BE AN ADULT RESIDENT OF HANCOCK COUNTY, AGED 20 OR ABOVE.
