AS ONE OF A FEW REMAINING FOREIGN NGO'S PROVIDING SOCIAL WELFARE SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN CHINA, INTERNATIONAL CHINA CONCERN (ICC) IS A CHRISTIAN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION THAT HAS BEEN PROVIDING LOVE, HOPE, AND OPPORTUNITY TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN HUNAN PROVINCE FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS. THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERS WITH ICC TO MEET CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES WHEREVER THEY ARE; WITHIN THEIR FAMILIES, IN GOVERNMENT WELFARE CENTERS, AND AS THEY PREPARE TO STEP INTO ADULTHOOD. OUR RECOGNIZED MODELS AND PROGRAMS EMPOWER CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF TODAY AND TAKE UP THE OPPORTUNITIES OF TOMORROW. WE DO THIS BY STRENGTHENING NEARLY 1,000 VULNERABLE FAMILIES THAT HAVE NO ACCESS TO OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, CREATING LOVING HOMES FOR HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABANDONMENT, AND PROVIDING PATHWAYS TO INDEPENDENCE THROUGH TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.
