SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS: VHCHE DRILLED A THIRD DRINKING WELL IN CAMEROON. THIS TIME IN THE VILLAGE OF YABASSI TO PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE DRINKING WATER TO CHILDREN AND THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY, AND BATHROOMS TO OVER 70 DISPLACED CHILDREN. WE HAVE SCOPED THE DRILLING OF THREE ADDITIONAL DRINKING WATER WELL PROJECTS IN RURAL AND UNDERSERVED VILLAGES IN CAMEROON, INCLUDING FIELD HYDROGEOLOGICAL STUDIES AT THE SITES IN THE THREE VILLAGES, ENGINEERING DESIGNS/DRAWINGS, AND COST ESTIMATES. WE SHIPPED TWO BARRELS OF 1000 POUNDS OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR CHILDREN IN CAMEROON. WE CONTINUED OUR AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AT LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS AS WELL AS OUR DIGITAL LETTER EXCHANGE PROGRAM BETWEEN CHILDREN OF CAMEROON AND CHILDREN OF THE US. WE WORKED WITH STUDENTS AT SAINT LOUIS IN ALEXANDRIA TO RAISE MONEY VIA A TAG DAY TO PROVIDE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS AT SAINT ANNE IN NEW MELONG, CAMEROON. WE RECEIVED THE UNITED STATES CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS (USCCB)'S APPROVAL FOR LISTING IN THE OFFICE OF CATHOLIC DIRECTORY (OCD) AS A CATHOLIC CHARITY AND HOSTED THE PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE OF CAMEROON. WE CONDUCTED THE SECOND ANNUAL SWIM A THON FUNDRAISER AT ORANGE HUNT POOL WHERE SWIMMERS COLLECTIVELY 83 MILES AND RAISED FUNDS TO DRILL DRINKING WATER WELLS IN RURAL BAMENDA, CAMEROON. VHCHE HAS BEEN BLESSED IN 2023 AND WILL BE IN 2024 AS WE PREPARE TO DRILL THREE MORE WELLS IN CAMEROON, ENGAGE IN EXCITING CONVERSATIONS WITH OLD AND NEW PARTNERS, INTENTIONALLY CONNECT WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES, AND PURSUE OUR GOAL OF EXPRESSING GRIEF THROUGH SERVICE.
