BCAP'S MISSION IS TO ENSURE A HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE BHUTANESE COMMUNITY IN PITTSBURGH AND TO SUPPORT THEIR INTEGRATION INTO AMERICAN SOCIETY THROUGH CULTURALLY-INFORMED SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES.

DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING MAJOR GOALS, IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS EXEMPT PURPOSE: 1) PROVIDED CITIZENSHIP PREPARATION CLASSES TO APPLICANTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS, 2) ASSISTED APPLICANTS WITH THEIR N-400, N-600, AND I-485 APPLICATIONS, 3) PROVIDED IN COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING, AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP AND MENTORING, COMMUNITY GARDENING ACTIVITIES FOR SENIORS THAT PROVIDES A MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT AND SENSE OF PURPOSE, 4) PROVIDED MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID SESSIONS AND WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS, 5) CONDUCTED NUMEROUS YOUTH SUPPORT AND MENTORING SESSIONS, 6) ORGANIZED VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVES, AND 7) FACILITATED COVID TESTING INCLUDING HOSTING COMMUNITY TESTING SITES, CONTINUOUSLY DISSEMINATED COVID-19 INFORMATION INCLUDING CONDUCTING SEVERAL COVID-19 EDUCATIONAL/INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN COLLABORATION WITH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, AND DISTRIBUTED FOOD SUPPLIES AND PPE'S TO OVER 100 NEEDY FAMILILES.
