JUNEAU MOUNTAIN RESCUE PROVIDES WILDERNESS SEACH, RESCUE, AND RECOVERY SERVICES THROUGH AN ALL-VOULNTEER TEAM FOR JUNEAU, SOUTHEAST ALASKA, ALASKA, AND NATIONALLY, IF REQUESTED. JMR SUPPORTS ITS MEMBERS THROUGH TRAININGS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
DURING 2021, JUNEAU MOUNTAIN RESCUE (JMR) CONDUCTED TWENTY RESCUE MISSIONS THROUGHOUT SOUTHEAST ALASKA. IN ADDITION TO SEARCH AND RESCUE, JMR PROVIDED PUBLIC EDUCATION IN JOINT SESSIONS WITH U.S. COAST GUARD, SKI PATROL, SEADOGS AND CCF/R SPECIAL TEAMS. JMR ALSO PROVIDED BACKCOUNTRY SAFETY TRAINING FOR THE NORTHERN SOUTHEAST ALASKA AREA.
JUNEAU MOUNTAIN RESCUE TRAINED ALL TEAM MEMBERS AND CANIDATES IN LIFE- SAVING MEDICAL, AVALANCHE, SEARCH AND ROPE RESCUE SKILLS.
