THE CHUN CHIU TAIWAN STUDIES PROGRAM, BASED IN THE SCHOOL OF HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION AT OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY WAS LAUNCHED IN 2007. IT SEEKS TO PROMOTE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE AND RESEARCH ABOUT TAIWAN, GREATER CHINA AND ASIA.


THE CHIU SCHOLARY EXCHANGE PROGRAM THROUGH OREGAN STATE UNIVERSITY GRANT AWARDS TO SCHOLARS WHO ARE TAIWAN STUDY OR HISTORY SPECIALIST OR NON-SPECILIST TO FURTHER STUDY OR RESEARCH INCLUDES TAIWAN PAST AND CURRENT SIGNIFICANT ISSUES.


THE FOUNDATION HAD CREATED THE TAIWANESS-AMERICAN COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP IN 2011, WHICH PROVIDE MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEGE-BOUND HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS OR INCUMBENT UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ARE ASPIRNG TO MAKE POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY, BUT COME FROM FINANCIALLY DISADVANGED BACKGROUNDS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
