MASSACHUSETTS FISCAL ALLIANCE IS A NON-PARTISAN, NON-PROFIT 501C(4) ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN MASSACHUSETTS BY ADVOCATING FOR FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND FURTHERING GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY.

DIRECT MAIL EDUCATIONTHROUGH THE DIRECT MAIL PROGRAM, MASSACHUSETTS FISCAL ALLIANCE SEEKS TO EDUCATE AND INFORM RESIDENTS OF MASSACHUSETTS ON THE POSITIONS AND ACTIONS OF THEIR STATE LEGISLATORS ON KEY ISSUES RELATING TO FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN STATE GOVERNMENT AND INCREASING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMONWEALTH. THIS INFORMATION INCLUDES ROLL CALL VOTES ON SPECIFIC PIECES OF LEGISLATION, SPONSORSHIP STATUS OF KEY BILLS AND AMENDMENTS RELATING TO OUR MISSION, AND OTHER INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST RESIDENTS IN INCREASING THEIR LEVEL OF CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST YEAR, OUR DIRECT MAIL PROGRAM HAS DELIVERED THOUSANDS OF PIECES OF MAIL TO RESIDENTS ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH EDUCATING THEM ON THEIR STATE ELECTED OFFICIALS AND ENCOURAGING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. DIGITAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENTMASSACHUSETTS FISCAL ALLIANCE REGULARLY MAINTAINS, UPDATES, AND PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL CONTENT FOR ITS OWN WEBSITE (MASSFISCAL.ORG), EMAIL LIST WITH THOUSANDS OF SUBSCRIBERS, FACEBOOK PAGE, TWITTER ACCOUNT, INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT, YOUTUBE CHANNEL, AND LINKEDIN GROUP. CONTENT FOR THESE PLATFORMS IS GENERALLY GEARED TOWARDS EDUCATING RESIDENTS ABOUT THE POSITIONS AND ACTIONS OF STATE LEGISLATORS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WITH CONCERN TO OUR MISSION OF PROMOTING RESPONSIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN STATE GOVERNMENT AND INCREASING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMONWEALTH. THE MAINTENANCE, MODERATION, AND CONTENT GENERATION REQUIRE SIGNIFICANT COMMITMENTS OF TIME AND EFFORT FROM STAFF. THIS PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES ADVERTISING EXPENDITURES AIMED AT FURTHERING OUR REACH TO STATE RESIDENTS ON EACH PLATFORM. OVER THE PAST YEAR, OUR DIGITAL MEDIA EFFORTS HAVE GENERATED MILLIONS OF UNIQUE IMPRESSIONS WITH RESIDENTS OF MASSACHUSETTS AIMED AT EDUCATING AND ENGAGING PEOPLE WITH THEIR STATE GOVERNMENT, AS WELL AS INCREASING CIVIC PARTICIPATION. LEGISLATIVE SCORECARDMASSACHUSETTS FISCAL ALLIANCE MAINTAINS A SEPARATE WEBSITE FOR OUR LEGISLATIVE SCORECARD (MASSFISCALSOCRECARD.ORG). THE SCORECARD PROVIDES RANKINGS OF LEGISLATORS BASED ON THEIR VOTES ON ISSUES PERTINENT TO OUR MISSION OF ADVOCATING FOR FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN STATE GOVERNMENT AND INCREASING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF MASSACHUSETTS. IT DOES THIS IN A NEUTRAL, UNBIASED MANNER AND PROVIDES INFORMATION ON HOW CONSTITUENTS CAN BEST CONTACT THEIR STATE LEGISLATORS.
