THE FOUNDATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO AND HOLD TITLE TO ASSETS USED TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE PROGRAMS OF THE MONTANA LAND RELIANCE (MLR). THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF, AND TO CARRY OUT THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF MLR AS A 509(A)(3) SUPPORT ORGANIZATION.

THE MLR FOUNDATION HAD PROGRAM EXPENSES OF $461,063 IN THE REPORTING YEAR. THIS AMOUNT WAS GRANTED TO MLR PER A GRANT REQUEST APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE GRANT COVERED MLR'S COSTS RELATED TO STEWARDSHIP/MONITORING/ENFORCEMENT OF THE CONSERVATION EASEMENTS MLR HELD IN 2021, AND OUTREACH ACTIVITES TO EDUCATE LANDOWNERS, PUBLIC OFFICIALS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
