TEAM TRIP PROGRAMS - OUR TEAM TRIPS PROGRAM PROVIDES YOUTH GROUPS WHO HAVE BEEN ENGAGED WITH LACROSSE THE NATIONS THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT OUR CENTRAL AMERICAN LOCATIONS AND INVOLVE THEMSELVES DIRECTLY IN OUR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS. GROUPS HELP TEACH AND COACH PE CLASSES AND LACROSSE PRACTICES, AND ARE PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD ENGLISH CLASSES WITHIN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL AND OTHER FUN AND UNIQUE ACTIVITIES BASED ON THE INTERESTS AND SKILLS OF THE PARTICIPANTS. IN RETURN, THEY GAIN A TRUE APPRECIATION FOR THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE AND THE CHALLENGES FACING THE CHILDREN GROWING UP IN THESE COMMUNITIES.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS-WE SERVE STUDENTS WEEKLY IN THE HIGHLY IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES OF VILLA GUADALUPE AND CHIQUILISTAGUA,NICARAGUA AND PLAY POTRERO, COSTA RICA. WE TEACH A LIFE SKILLS CURRICULUM THAT FOCUSES ON THE PRINCIPLES OF WORK ETHIC, MOTIVATION, RESPONSE TO FAILURE, ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS, CONFIDENCE AND SELF AWARENESS. THROUGH LACROSSE PRACTICE, TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES, CHALLENGES, AND REFLECTION, THE CURRICULUM CONSCIOUSLY INTERTWINES THE PLAYING FIELD WITH THE DAILY ROUTINES OF THE CHILDREN WHO PARTICIPATE IN OUR PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION AT THE LOCATIONS WE SERVE. WITHOUT LTN SUPPORT, MANY OF OUR STUDENTS WOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MEALS UNTIL LUNCH.
DOMESTIC PROGRAMS -WE SERVE DISADVANTAGED YOUTHS IN OUR SUMMER DOMESTIC PROGRAMS. OUR LIFE SKILLS CURRICULUM IS INCORPORATED INTO LACROSSE TEAM PRACTICES AND CLINICS
