TO BUILD A COLLEGE-GOING CULTURE IN DALLAS/FORT WORTH HIGH SCHOOLS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE FIRST-GENERATION, LOW-INCOME, AND/OR UNDERREPRESENTED MINORITIES.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS PROGRAM DALLAS (ASP) AIMS TO BUILD A COLLEGE-GOING CULTURE IN DALLAS, TEXAS AREA HIGH SCHOOLS. DURING THE 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION HELPED MORE THAN 11,000 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN 10 DALLAS HIGH SCHOOLS. 2,071 ASP SENIORS APPLIED TO 2-YEAR, 4-YEAR AND/OR TECHNICAL COLLEGES. 89% OF THOSE SENIORS WERE ACCEPTED TO COLLEGE. 81% COMPLETED A FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION (FAFSA OR TAFSA) AND THEY WERE AWARDED 118,715,500 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS TO ATTEND COLLEGE.
