THE AGENCY BELIEVES THAT QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ALL INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE, DISEASE, HEALTH STATUS, SEX, RACE, SOCIAL CONDITION, RELIGION OR ECONOMIC STATUS. SIMILARLY, ALL INDIVIDUALS SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO PREVENTATIVE HEALTH CARE AND INFORMATION ABOUT HEALTH PROMOTION. THE ORLEANS ESSEX VISITING NURSE ASSO. AND HOSPICE IS COMMITTED TO A LEADERSHIP ROLE IN THE PROVISION OF HOME BASED HEALTH RELATED SERVICES AND RECOGNIZES ITS RESPONSIBILITY TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE PREVENTION OF DISEASE AND THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH. IN ITS COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICES, THE AGENCY RECOGNIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF A CORP. ORLEANS-ESSEX VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION AND HOSPICE, INC.'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE HOME HEALTH CARE AND ADDITIONAL THERAPEUTIC SERVICES FOR THE SICK IN THEIR HOMES ON A PART-TIME OR INTERMITTENT BASIS TO RESIDENTS OF THE NORTHERN VERMONT COUNTIES OF ORLEANS AND ESSEX. THEY ALSO PROVIDE COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES AND PROJECTS THROUGH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS WITH VARIOUS FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL AGENCIES.
