CPA ORGANIZES WORKING CLASS CHINESE IMMIGRANT ADULTS AND YOUTH TO INCREASE THEIR VOICES THROUGH SOCIAL JUSTICE DIRECT ACTION CAMPAIGNS AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. OUR WORK WITHIN OUR TENANT WORKER CENTER AND YOUTH ORGANIZING WORK ALLOWS OUR MEMBER/LEADERS TO LEARN ABOUT AND ENGAGE IN ISSUES MOST EFFECTING OUR COMMUNITY.

TENANT WORKER CENTER (TWC) - WORKERS RIGHTS OUTREACH AND WAGE CLINIC: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES OUTREACH AND EDUCATION TO LOW-WAGE IMMIGRANT WORKERS ABOUT SAN FRANCISCO AND CA LABOR LAWS INCLUDING MINIMUM WAGE AND PAID SICK LEAVE. THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES CONSULTATION ON WORKPLACE VIOLATIONS AND WAGE RECOVERY, REFERRAL TO LEGAL AND OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES AND REPORT TO GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. WORKERS RECEIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AND POLITICAL EDUCATION TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPACITY TO ORGANIZE TO WIN BETTER LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS. THE TWC OUTREACHED TO AND EDUCATED OVER 15,000 WORKERS ABOUT COVID-19 LABOR LAWS, HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS AS THEY RETURN TO WORK, AND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS.


YOUTH MOJO (MOVEMENT OF JUSTICE AND ORGANIZING)DEVELOPS THE LEADERSHIP OF CHINESE AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH TO ENGAGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. THIS YEAR, OVER 80 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN THE SUMMER AND SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAMS. YOUTH APPLY THEIR SKILLS BY LEADING EFFORTS FOR HEALTHY AND EQUITABLE SCHOOLS. YOUTH PROGRAMS ALSO EXPLORE IDENTITIES, LEARN ABOUT THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS AND POST-HIGH SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES.


POLITICAL EMPOWERMENT CAMPAIGN (PEC) ENGAGES YOUTH AND ADULT LEADERS IN CIVIC PROGRAMS -A STRUCTURED VOTER EDUCATION AND MOBILIZATION PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES CIVIC PARTICIPATION AND ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN ELECTIONS.


FISCALLY SPONSORED PROJECTS AND OTHER CPA PROGRAMS - OVER 7,000 PEOPLE SERVED THROUGH A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
