FORT LAUDERDALE ROTARY 1090 FOUNDATION, INC., IS THE CHARITABLE ARM OF THE FORT LAUDERDALE ROTARY CLUB, 4444. WE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND POST HIGH SCHOOL TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIPS


THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS DIRECT GRANTS FOR WATER PROJECTS INTERNATIONALLY. CURRENTLY THE PROJECTS ARE IN THE PHILIPPINES, AFRICA AND HAITI. THEY INVOLVE PROVIDING LIFESTRAWS TO VILLAGES WHERE CLEAN DRINKING WATER IS A PROBLEM OR NOT AVAILABLE. ALL FUNDS COLLECTED FOR THIS PROJECT ARE SPENT ON THIS PROJECT, ANY REVENUES OVER EXPENSE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR WERE DISBURSED IN A PREVIOUS YEAR OR WILL BE DISBURSED NEXT YEAR. DUE TO COVID NO AMOUNTS WERE EXPENDED THIS YEAR.


THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS COMMUNITY PROJECTS (ELDER CARE, THANKSGIVING BASKETS WITH FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, POWER OF ONE HOUR)AND DONATIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS (ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION, WHEELCHAIR FOUNDATION AND CHALLENGE AIR).
