THE TENNESSEE ASSOCIATION OF HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITIES (TAHRA) WILL BE THE PREMIER ORGANIZATION PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO TENNESSEE PUBLIC AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING AGENCIES. TAHRA SHALL ADVOCATE FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING RESOURCES, PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST ETHICAL STANDARDS BY ITS MEMBERS.

TAHRA SHALL ADVOCATE FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING RESOURCES, PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST ETHICAL STANDARDS BY ITS MEMBERS.OUR MEMBERS PROVIDE A NUMBER OF SERVICES RELATED TO HOUSING ISSUES FOR TENNESSEE'S LOW INCOME CITIZENS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO , JOB TRAINING, HOMEOWNERSHIP ASSISTANCE, DRUG ABUSE COUNSELING, PROTECTIVE SERVICES, CHILDCARE, EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE, YOUTH SERVICES AND TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCETAHRA IS A LEADER IN PROVIDING TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP WITH THE VARIETY AND DEPTH OF TRAINING OFFERED.INDIVIDUAL TAHRA MEMBERS HOLD PROMINENT POISITONS AT THE REGIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THESE INCLUDE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AS WELL AS AS SERVING ON COMMITTEES WITH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT OFFICIALS AND IT'S SUBSIDIARY, THE SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL COUNCIL, AND THE PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITIES DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION.
