THE MISSION OF THE LEWIS COUNTY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS TO ENRICH AND ENHANCE THE HOSPITAL'S HIGH QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES BY BUILDING STRONG COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS AND RAISING FUNDS TO INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF OUR HOSPITAL.

THE MISSION OF THE LEWIS COUNTY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION IS TO ENRICH AND ENHANCE THE HOSPITAL'S HIGH QUALITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES BY BUILDING STRONG COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS AND RAISING FUNDS TO INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF OUR HOSPITAL.THE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL EMPLOYEE AND COMMUNITY APPEAL TO SUPPORT HOSPITAL NEEDS. THE FOUNDATION ACCEPTS AND MANAGES MEMORIAL AND HONORARY DONATIONS GIVEN TO THE HOSPITAL. CREATED A COVID-19 ASSISTANCE FUND TO SUPPORT RESIDENTS AND STAFF.THE FOUNDATION CONDUCTED A VIRTUAL SILENT ACTION THAT RAISED $14,000. ALONG WITH SPONSORSHIPS AND TICKET DONATIONS THE VIRTUAL EVENT RAISED $52,310. THE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION COMPLETED AN APPLICATION FROM AVANGRID, A WIND FARM COMPANY, AND WAS AWARDED $20,000 TO SUPPORT THE PURCHASE OF A RAPID-TESTING MACHINE.THE MCSWEENEY FOUNDATION ALSO DONATED $5,000 TO SUPPORT THE RAPID-TESTING MACHINE.THE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION WAS AWARDED $17,767 FROM THE PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM. THE FOUNDATION WROTE A NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH GRANT FOR TECHNOLOGY FOR THE NURSING HOME - $2,871.53.THE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION HAS ESTABLISHED A 1931 LEGACY SOCIETY FOR DONORS WHO WISH TO MAKE A FIVE-YEAR, $5,000 COMMITMENT TO THE FOUNDATION. IN 2020, THE FOUNDATION ADDED ONE NEW LEGACY SOCIETY MEMBER.RECEIVED $2,000 IN DONATED BREAST CANCER AWARENESS DINNER SPONSORSHIPS.HIDDEN PASTURES DAIRY HELD A SECOND FUNDRAISER IN OCTOBER TO SUPPORT THE FUND FOR HOPE. THE "GOATS IN PINK COLLARS" FUNDRAISER SOLD PINK COLLARS FOR $10.00. WHEN A COLLAR WAS "PURCHASED" IT WAS PLACED ON A GOAT ON THE FARM. THE EVENT RAISED $1,326 FOR THE FUND FOR HOPE. CREATED THE VIRTUAL BASKETS FOR A CURE WEBSITE-THE EVENT RAISED $6,839THE CARTHAGE TURKEY BOWL DONATED $13,000 TO SUPPORT THE FUND FOR HOPE. THE LEWIS COUNTY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN A STRONG PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NORTHERN NEW YORK COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. THE FUNDS (THE SUSTAINABILITY FUND AND THE ENDOWMENT FUND) ARE MANAGED BY THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. THE SUSTAINABILITY FUND IS A PERMANENT FUND IS STRUCTURED AND DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE FLEXIBILITY TO MEET CURRENT AND FUTURE NEEDS OF LEWIS COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL IN A DISCIPLINED, THOUGHTFUL AND ENDURING WAY. THE ENDOWMENT FUND IS ALSO A PERMANENT FUND THAT IS THE ULTIMATE WAY TO SUPPORT THE NEEDS OFLEWIS COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
