TO ALLEVIATE HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS IN PEEKSKILL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING TEMPORARY HOUSING, LONG-TERM HOUSING, ADVOCACY, AND CLINICAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO VETERANS, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS AND CHRONICALLY HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN. WE PROVIDE HEALTH AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD THROUGH OUR "FARM TO PANTY" FOOD PANTRY TO THOSE WHO ARE FACING FOOD INSECURITY.

JAN PEEK HOUSE WAS OPENED IN 1988 TO PROVIDE SHELTER AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO ADULTS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. WE OPERATE 24/7 365 DAYS A YEAR, PROVIDING SHELTER, FOOD, HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO ASSIST HOMELESS ADULTS ON THEIR JOURNEY TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE. CLIENTS, SOME ELDERLY WHO HAVE LOST THEIR JOBS AND HOMES DUE TO ILLNESS, OTHERS WHO ARE YOUNG AND WITHOUT FAMILIES OR OTHER MEANS OF EMOTIONAL/ FINANCIAL SUPPORT, COME TO US WITH A BROAD RANGE OF ISSUES. OUR SOCIAL WORK/CASE MANAGEMENT STAFF WORK WITH EACH INDIVIDUALLY TO ASSIST THEM WITH DEVELOPING THE SUPPORTS AND SKILLS THEY NEED TO MAINTAIN LONG-TERM INDEPENDENCE. IN 2021, WE ASSISTED OVER 75 RESIDENTS OF ALL GENDERS, INCLUDING VETERANS, PROVIDING OVER 5,00O BED NIGHTS AND OVER 16,000 MEALS. IN ADDITION TO OUR RESIDENTIAL SHELTER PROGRAMS FOR VETERANS AND CLIENTS OF THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, WE PROVIDE OVERNIGHT SHELTER TO CLIENTS WHO NEED EMERGENCY SHELTER. SOMEONE WHO IS EVICTED FROM AN APARTMENT OR DISCHARGED FROM A MEDICAL FACILITY MAY ACCESS JAN PEEK HOUSE ON A TEMPORARY BASIS. WE PROVIDE OVERNIGHT SHELTER, FOOD AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO THESE CLIENTS TO ASSIST THEM WITH REGAINING INDEPENDENCE. IN 2021 WE ASSISTED OVER 200 EMERGENCY SERVICES CLIENTS, PROVIDING OVER 3,000 BED NIGHTS AND NEARLY 10,000 MEALS.


REHOUSING IN SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENTS ("RISE"): IN OPERATION SINCE 2018 WITH THE GOAL OF ASSISTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS ACHIEVE, SAFETY, SECURITY, AND INDEPENDENCE. WE OPERATE "RISE" IN COLLABORATION WITH LIFTING UP WESTCHESTER AND MY SISTERS' PLACE TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE WRAP-AROUND HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON STABILIZING THE SURVIVOR AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN HOUSING AND PROVIDING ROBUST CASE MANAGEMENT, TRAUMA- INFORMED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES, AND VOCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. IN 2021, WE HELPED 71 INDIVIDUALS WITH ACHIEVING SAFETY AND STABILITY.


TURNING POINT: THIS PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES HOUSING AND CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDING HOME VISITS, ADVOCACY, SERVICE COORDINATION CRISIS INTERVENTION AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING. OUR CLIENTS LIVE INDEPENDENTLY IN THEIR OWN APARTMENTS, PAY A PORTION OF THE RENT FROM THEIR INCOME, AND OBTAIN SUPPORT TO ASSIST THEM WITH REMAINING PERMANENTLY HOUSED. PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ARE FORMERLY CHRONICALLY HOMELESS AND LIVE WITH A DISABILITY.IN 2021, WE PROVIDED PERMANENT HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO 13 CLIENTS.


FRED'S PANTRY IS A "FARM TO PANTRY" FOOD PANTRY THAT PROVIDES HEALTHY NUTRITIOUS FOOD AND LINKAGES TO COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES TO FOOD-INSECURED RESIDENTS OF PEEKSKILL, NEW YORK IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT RESPECTS THE DIGNITY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL. WE STRIVE TO ADDRESS THE WHOLE PERSON, AND STRENGTHEN THE MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT BY PROVIDING HEALTHY AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD, EMPLOYING CARING STAFF MEMBERS WHO HELP PEOPLE MAKE CONNECTIONS TO OVERCOME BARRIERS AND IMPROVE CLIENT SITUATIONS. IN 2021 WE PROVIDED FOOD TO OVER 60,000 INDIVIDUALS COMPRISING OVER 12,000 HOUSEHOLDS.
