DIALYSIS FACILITIES: PROVIDES IN-CENTER AND HOME HEMODIALYSIS AND PERITONEAL DIALYSIS SERVICES FOR SOME 1,500 PATIENTS WITH KIDNEY FAILURE (END-STAGE KIDNEY DISEASE) THROUGH EIGHT CENTERS IN NEW YORK CITY (BROOKLYN, MANHATTAN AND QUEENS).


IMMUNOGENETICS AND TRANSPLANTATION CENTER:A HISTOCOMPATIBILITY LABORATORY THAT PERFORMS TISSUE TYPING EVALUATIONS TO FACILITATE ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION.


RESEARCH: A BROAD BASIC SCIENCE AND CLINICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM STUDIES ALL ASPECTS OF KIDNEY DISEASE AND RENAL REPLACEMENT THERAPY (DIALYSIS AND KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION) AND DEVELOPS AND/OR TESTS NEW THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES, INCLUDING THOSE FOR KIDNEY DISEASE, DIABETES, LIPID DISORDERS AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE, AS WELL AS CANCER.
