SPCA OF WESTCHESTER, INC. IS DEDICATED TO SAVING HOMELESS, ABUSED AND ABANDONED ANIMALS AND TO PROTECTING ANIMALS FROM CRUELTY AND NEGLECT THROUGH EDUCATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF HUMANE LAWS.

ANIMAL SERVICES: THE SPCA OF WESTCHESTER CONTRACTS WITH SEVERAL MUNICIPALITIES TO ACCEPT STRAY CATS AND DOGS FOR RETURN TO THEIR OWNERS OR TO ARRANGE FOR THEM TO BE ADOPTED. A NO-KILL ANIMAL RESCUE CENTER, THE SPCA IS COMMITTED TO CARING FOR ALL ADOPTABLE ANIMALS UNTIL A NEW HOME CAN BE FOUND.


HUMANE LAW ENFORCEMENT UNIT: THE SPCA IS THE ONLY ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION AUTHORIZED BY NEW YORK STATE TO ENFORCE ITS LAWS AS THEY RELATE TO ANIMAL CRUELTY IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY. INVESTIGATIONS ENCOMPASS CRUELTY COMPLAINTS INVOLVING DOGS, CATS, HORSES, EXOTICS AND FARM ANIMALS.


LOW-COST VETERINARY CLINIC: THE SPCA OFFERS TO THE PUBLIC AFFORDABLE SPAY AND NEUTER, WELLNESS EXAMINATIONS, VACCINATIONS AND DISEASE TESTING IN AN EFFORT TO HELP COMPANION ANIMALS STAY HEALTHY. SINCE ESTABLISHING THE CLINIC IN 1983, WE HAVE SPAYED AND NEUTERED MORE THAN 70,000 DOGS AND CATS.


GOLDEN OUTREACH PET THERAPY: A PET VISITATION PROGRAM THAT HELPS CHASE LONELINESS AWAY. THIS INCLUDED VISITATIONS TO HEALTHCARE FACILITIES, SCHOOLS, AND GROUP HOMES, ETC.
